How Much Exercise Do You Need?

The Health Promotion Board (HPB) recommends that adults get at least 150 to 300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week, and to strengthen muscles, bones and joints through different activities, at moderate or vigorous intensity, at least two days a week. For older adults, a new recommendation is to include multi-component physical activity that emphasises strength and functional balance at least 3 days a week at moderate or greater intensity.
